Nigerian Content Consultative Forum held at NIRA House


The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) had constituted the ICT Working Group of Nigerian Content Consultative Forum (NCCF) in June 2014. The committee members (NCCF-ICT) and other key stakeholders in the Oil and Gas industry were invited to the inauguration and kick-off meeting of the NCCF which took place in September 2014 at Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Recognizing the potentials of ICT, as a veritable source of foreign exchange earnings for Nigeria if properly harnessed, the Federal Government passed the Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Bill into law. The Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act is
designed to enhance the level of participation of Nigerians and Nigerian companies in the country's oil and gas industry.
The NCCF-ICT at its meeting at Yenagao, had set up a Sensitization and Awareness Sub-Committee to develop a framework for sensitizing ICT sector stakeholders of the existence and inherent opportunities provided by the NOGIC Act.

The second meeting of the Nigeria Consultative Forum NCCF-ICT MEETING held on Friday, 14TH November, 2014 at NIRA House, Iponri, Lagos State to consider the report of the sub-committee, which was set up saddled with the responsibility of sensitization and mobilization. The sub-committee had identified critical issues elements on which the framework should be built and that can support a practical and easy to implement mobilization and awareness programme.
