Acid attack on woman sparks protests in Kashmir

                                  

Hundreds of students took to the streets on Friday in Indian controlled Kashmir to protest an acid attack on a woman by two unknown persons.
The students, most of whom were women, marched out of colleges, universities and gathered at various sites in the city’s commercial districts.

The protesters demanded immediate arrest and stern punishment to those involved in the attack on the 21-year-old woman, who was studying law at a college.
On Thursday, two unidentified men threw acid on the law student outside her college.The woman suffered injuries in her right eye, forehead and face.
She is undergoing treatment at a health institute in Srinagar.
Police has launched a massive manhunt to nab the attackers and so far no arrests were made.
