University Of Jos Shuts Down Indefinitely

The University of Jos has been shut down indefinitely after a protest by students over hike in fees turned violent. The protest started yesterday morning with students holding university administrators hostage in their offices.

Security officials where later called in today when  the protest continued to calm the situation. But a soldier attached to the Special Taskforce on Jos crisis (STF), instead of calming the situation opened fire on protesters leaving at least 8 students with gun wounds including a blind one.
