First picture of the face of the younger, normal, happy looking schoolboy who has now turned into the reviled, disgusting ISIS executioner, Jihadi John, who has publicly beheaded many foreign nationals and now the face of ISIS. Originally born in Kuwait before moving to UK at 6, his name is Mohammed Emwazi. He embraced British life, playing football in the affluent streets of West London while supporting Manchester United. Neighbours recalled a polite, quietly spoken boy who was studious at his Church of England school, where he was the only Muslim pupil in his class. The son of a Kuwaiti minicab driver, young Emwazi arrived in Britain speaking only a few words of English, and appeared more interested in football than in Islam. It was only after he won a place studying computing at the University of Westminster that his behaviour began to change.

The arrival of a baby in every home heralds joy. But this was not the case for Mr. Mudashiru Sheriffdeen of Bosun Street, Ifo in the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State. The wife, Taiwo, was on Tuesday delivered of a baby boy who had no arms. The baby boy, Punch gathered, was born around 2pm at a private hospital, Majotal Medical Clinic at the Ilogbo area of Ado/Odo-Ota Local Government Area of the state.

It was further learnt that the baby weighed 3.25 kilogrammes at birth. The mother of the baby told our correspondent that immediately she gave birth to the baby boy, her husband took to his heels on hearing that the baby was born without arms. Expressing her sadness, she said,

The home of the former Real Madrid defender turned coach was seized after he was accused of tax evasion. The authorities claim he owes over €1m in unpaid taxes. They also seized goods worth about €1million as well as a €180,000 yacht belonging to Cannavaro.

INEC Extends Deadline For Collection Of PVCs

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the deadline for collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to Sunday, February 8. This supersedes the earlier deadline of Saturday, 31st January 2015, and is intended to give registered voters yet to collect their PVCs the opportunity to do so in readiness for the February 2015 general elections.

Meanwhile the Commission has said it is determined to make the 2015 elections free, fair, credible and peaceful.

Hausa People fleeing Bayelsa over Militants Threat

Since the militants have declared war if their brother is defeated, There has been noticeable panic among residents of the Hausa Community in Bayelsa with mass exodus of northern indigenes from the state.

The leader of the Hausa Community in Bayelsa State, Alhaji Dahiru Yau Katsina, while speaking with in Yenagoa, said though they have appealed for calm among Hausa indigenes, the mass exodus is worrisome.

Alhaji Dahiru Yau Katsine, said the Hausa Community in the State had met with authorities of the Security agencies and have been assured of adequate security of lives and property during and after the elections. He said they were also cautioned against traveling which might result in accidents and loss of their properties.

Lagos Court Dissolves 8 Months Old Marriage over Mother-In-Law’s Constant Harassment

An Ikorodu Customary Court has today, Friday 23 January, dissolved an 8-month-old marriage over the constant harassment from the husband’s mother-in-law.

Following constant harassment of Mr. John Obah, 37, by his mother in-law, the Customary Court dissolved his eight-month-old marriage to Gift, 21.

John Obah, a trader, had approached the court asking to divorce his wife over allegations that his mother in-law always came with dangerous weapons to fight him each time they had misunderstanding. He also told the court that his wife did not sleep at home regularly as a house wife.

First Female Bishop To Be Consecrated Today

The Church of England will consecrate its first female bishop during a ceremony at York Minster later today. The Reverend Libby Lane, 48, will be ordained as the new Bishop of Stockport, in what she says will be a "profound and remarkable moment".

The Church formally adopted legislation last November to allow women bishops. The move, which ends a centuries-old tradition of exclusively male bishops, has however continued to prompt divisions between some Anglicans.

Nun Gives Birth in Italy After Complaining of Stomach Pains

A cloistered nun has stunned her mother superior and sisters after giving birth to a baby boy after complaining of severe stomach pains. The sister, who belonged to an order in Macerata, in the eastern Italian region of Le Marche, claimed to have no idea she was pregnant when she was rushed to hospital in agony, after which she gave birth.

The South American nun, who arrived at the convent in June, when it is supposed she was already pregnant, was taken to the emergency department of 'Bartolomeo Eustachio' di San Severino Marche by her fellow sisters.
