Antoine Griezmann is crowned ’Best La Liga player of 2015-16 Season

Atletico Madrid and France striker, Antoine Griezmann has been crowned the best La Liga player for the 2015 -16 season.

The 25 year old, whose performance was super impressive last season, scoring 22 goals out of 38 appearances for the Spanish giant was announced as the winner at the glittering awards ceremony which took place in Valencia on Monday, while his fellow teammates, Jan Oblak, Diego Godin and his coach Diego Simeone also went home with awards. Reality TV star and business mogul, Kim Kardashian has dropped her lawsuit against MediaTakeOut website who claimed that the mother of two faked her Paris robbery incident just to generate buzz and attention.

The 36 year old initially sued the website after they claimed in an article that Kim faked her horrifying Paris incident where she was gagged and robbed of Valuables worth $11m so that she can get attention. MediaTakeOut apologized for writing the story and confirmed that Kim K was truly robbed.

Rotherham United sign footballer Peter Odemwingie on a short term deal

Rotherham United have signed unattached former West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City striker, Peter Odemwingie on a short-term deal until January 2017. After securing the deal, the Nigeria international footballer said:

Teenage Goalkeeper wakes up from coma speaking fluent Spanish

Reuben Nsemoh, son of Dora and Emmanuel Nsemoh, was the goalkeeper for their National League soccer team. During a game, a player kicked the 16-year-old goalie from Brookwood High School (Snellville, Georgia.) in the head when he dived for the ball. This collision caused him to go into shock with a severe concussion.

Train Accident Leaves 53 Dead In Cameroon

At least 53 people died when a packed passenger train derailed and overturned in Cameroon, the country's transport minister says.

The train was travelling between the two biggest cities, Yaounde and Douala, when it overturned near Eseka.

The Associated Press said there were 1,300 people on the train instead of the usual 600.

Princess Diana's stepmother; Raine Spencer, dies at age 87, following a short illness.

Raine Spencer, the stepmother of Diana, Princess of Wales, has died Friday, aged 87 after a short illness. Countess Spencer died on Friday morning at her London home, her son William Legge, the Earl of Dartmouth and a Ukip MEP, confirmed to press men.
In a short statement the family said: 'Raine, Countess Spencer, died peacefully at her home in London on 21st October, 2016, after a short illness.'

Bride Stabs Groom To Death Two Months To Wedding

A woman, Omolara Oluwagbemi, has killed her would be husband two months to their wedding in Ijebu-Ode town of Ogun State.

The Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident toPremium Times on Friday said the suspect has been arrested.

“The men of Ogun State Police Command have arrested one Omolara Oluwagbemi Abosede for killing her husband, one Sodiq Dauda,” Mr. Oyeyemi said.

Siasia In Qatar For Top Coaching Job

Former Nigeria coach Samson Siasia is now in oil-rich Qatar in connection with a lucrative top coaching job. “Siasia flew out to Qatar Friday (last week) afternoon. He is there to discuss a coaching post,” a top source informed.

Over time, Siasia has been variously linked with overseas coaching posts. The former Super Eagles coach led Nigeria to win bronze at the Rio Olympics in August. His contract as Nigeria Olympic team coach ended with that tournament.

Nigeria To Ban University Diploma Courses?

Nigeria’s National Universities Commission (NUC) has abolished all diploma - sub-degree level - programmes at the country’s universities.

The NUC says it wants universities to concentrate on providing quality education to train people to run the country’s public service.

Its head Abubakar Adamu Rasheed told university vice-chancellors that it was the job of polytechnics to run diploma courses.

In December 2013, a year after she escaped, Cynthia, then 23, reported the abuse and exploitation to the police. Her case is currently in its final stages. And three years later, precisely last week, she won her asylum case and is now working for a charity alongside her Accountancy studies.
